Hobsons Gate Medical Centre is an Accredited General Practice.
All the team here at Hobsons Gate Medical Centre work to ensure we remain up to date with Royal Australian College of General Practitioners(RACGP) Standard for General Practice.
We are continually reviewing our practice systems and procedures to ensure that we are able to provide our patients with the highest standards of quality, safety and continuous improvement in healthcare.
We offer vocational training for GP Registrars at this practice.
We believe that GP training and education should be done not just through the GP Supervisor but through every member of our team.
Our main focus is to invest in our current registrars to ensure the best doctors are trained for the future.
We work with the University of Western Australia to provide a great opportunity for medical students to be able to learn and develop skills within a General Practice.
There are times when your GP may have to student sitting in with them and you will be asked for your consent to have them in the consultation with you.
It is your right to decline, and this will not impact upon your care.
If this is your first visit to our practice please arrive 10 minutes prior to your allocated appointment time.
This is to enable our reception staff to provide you with a patient registration form and then input that information in to your file before you see the Doctor.
If you have Medicare card, DVA card, Healthcare card or pension card, please bring this with you so those details can be recorded.
We understand that unexpected events can arise, making it difficult for you to keep your scheduled appointment. If you find yourself in such a situation, we kindly ask that you notify our reception team as soon as possible. By providing us with early notice, we can efficiently manage our appointments and offer the available slot to another patient who may require medical attention. If the appointment is cancelled at very late notice, and remains unbooked, a cancellation fee will be charged.
